Informal with black jacket and waistcoat, red Ross or MacDonald of Clanranald kilt, plain tie and plain sporran.

Formal with evening dress jacket and vest, red Ross or MacDonald of Clanranald kilt, bow tie and dress sporran.

Full highland dress, with sword and medals if the occasion is appropriate.

Protocol
Protocol, or "How things are done" isn't cast in stone. Just remember, for weddings, it is your day so have things the way you want them.

Here are just some of the options for weddings,

Piper entertains arriving guests while waiting for the Bride to    arrive.                                                                                       Piper escorts Bride from car to church.                                           Piper plays during signing of the register.                                         Piper plays as Bride and Groom leave the church.                           Piper entertains guests waiting for the reception line.                        Piper plays the top table to their places.                                           Piper plays Bride and Groom to their places.
Funeral Protocol

The piper will always try to accomodate the wishes of the family with regard to the extent of participation in the service. Some of the options are:

Process the cortege from Chapel of Rest or house leading the hearse.    Pipe the coffin from the hearse into the Church, Chapel or Temple.       Pipe as the coffin passes into the crematorium or to the graveside as appropriate.                                                                                          Pipe at the graveside after the interment
